FAQ: digital transformation, automation and AI

Clear answers to what decision-makers ask most: how to start, what we deliver, what automation costs and returns, and how we protect your data under Oman's Personal Data Protection Law.

Here are the questions we hear most from executives and from operations, finance and IT leaders before a project starts. If yours isn't here, contact us or book a free 30-minute consultation.

General

What is the difference between digital transformation, process automation and AI?
Digital transformation means changing how the organisation works using technology, guided by a clear plan. Process automation is a tool within that change, moving repetitive tasks to systems. AI adds capabilities such as understanding documents and language, and forecasting. We offer all three because they complement each other.
Are your services right for mid-sized companies, or only large enterprises?
Both. Mid-sized companies usually gain most from automating one or two high-volume processes such as invoices or approvals, while large enterprises and government entities need a broader roadmap. We size the project by expected return, not by company size.
Where do you work geographically?
We are based in Muscat and serve clients across Oman, and we also work with companies in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. We combine remote work with on-site visits as each stage requires, especially for discovery workshops and training.
Where do we start if we don't have a digital transformation plan?
Start with our free digital maturity assessment to see where you stand, then book a short consultation. We will help you identify the highest-impact processes and build a realistic plan that begins with a small, measurable step. You don't need a ready-made plan before contacting us.

Services and delivery

Do you sell a specific product, or choose the right tool?
We are vendor-neutral. We pick the tool based on the process, your existing systems, budget and security requirements, whether that is a workflow platform, RPA, an integration platform or an AI model. If you already own licences, we try to use them before suggesting any new purchase.
Can solutions connect to our existing systems, such as ERP and government portals?
Yes, in most cases. We use APIs where available and RPA bots where they aren't, and we can connect solutions to email and WhatsApp Business. During discovery we define the best integration method for each system and the risk level involved.
How long does a typical automation project take?
Automating a single process typically takes six to twelve weeks from discovery to go-live. Broader transformation programmes are split into short consecutive waves, each with measurable results, rather than one long project that only pays off at the end.
What happens after handover? Will we depend on you?
Our goal is that you don't. We train your team to run, monitor and adjust the solution, and hand over full documentation in Arabic and English. Optional support and continuous-improvement packages are available, but they are not required to keep the solution running.

Cost and return

How much does it cost to automate a single process?
Cost varies with process volume, complexity, the number of connected systems and licence costs. So we start with a short, fixed-price discovery, after which we give you a firm quote in OMR together with the expected saving, so you decide knowing both cost and return.
When do we recover the investment?
It depends on process volume and the time saved. Well-chosen automation projects often pay back within six to eighteen months. We calculate the expected payback before we start and measure the actual figure after go-live. The savings calculator gives you an early estimate.
Does automation mean cutting staff?
Not necessarily. Most organisations use the time saved to improve customer service, absorb growth without extra hiring, or move people to work that needs their expertise. The decision belongs to management, and we help plan the change and communicate it clearly to the team.
What are the ongoing costs after go-live?
They usually include tool licences, hosting or cloud costs, AI model usage where relevant, and optional support. We set these out clearly in the first proposal and calculate the return after deducting them, so you see the full picture.

Data and security

How do you handle our sensitive data?
We access only the data the project needs, through dedicated accounts with limited permissions, and encrypt data in transit and at rest. We sign a confidentiality agreement before starting, follow your security policies and delete any temporary working copies when the project ends.
Do you comply with Oman's Personal Data Protection Law?
Yes. We design solutions in line with the Personal Data Protection Law issued by Royal Decree 6/2022: collecting only necessary data, defining processing purposes, controlling access and documenting retention periods. We work with your legal team when specific requirements need review.
Can our data stay in Oman or inside our own systems?
Yes. Many solutions can run on your own infrastructure or in regional data centres when internal policy or regulation requires it. For each solution we explain where data is processed and stored before you decide.
Do AI solutions send our data to third parties?
It depends on the model chosen. We set out the options clearly: cloud models under terms that prevent your data being used for training, or models that run inside your environment. We add safeguards such as masking personal data before processing and audit logs for every request.
